Description
One of the original muscle cars was the Pontiac GTO, the brain child of engineers Russell Gee, Bill Collins and John Delorean, with major support from marketing whiz Jim Wangers. The hood-mounted tachometer (shows engine revolutions per minute) you see here allowed drivers to not have to glance down at their dashboard gauges to know when to shift gears when racing. And drag racing is what the GTO was bred for with a 389-cubic inch engine (some special versions were built with a 421 c.i. engine) and plenty of power, for the era. NOTE: The Fine Art watermark visible in preview windows is not on any print.
